Do you provide shelter?

Kathy’s Legacy is not a shelter. If you are in need of shelter, please contact the locations listed on our resources page.

How can I make a difference and contribute to your foundation?

There are many ways to be involved with Kathy’s Legacy and make a difference for the children and pets:

Do you take donation items such as clothing, toys, etc.?

Please feel free to contact us regarding any donations you may have. However, if you would like to donate men’s or women’s clothing, we recommend contacting one of the shelters on our resources page.

How can I sign up to be a volunteer?

Please complete the volunteer sign-up form on our volunteer page. We will reach out via email a few times a year with upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Where does my donation go?

Monetary donations to Kathy’s Legacy go towards supporting the silent, under-served children and pets impacted by domestic violence.

Will I receive a donation recept?

Yes! If you make an online donation via our website, you will receive an email receipt within a few minutes of your donation. Any donations received via check will receive a letter in the mail. If you have made donations via Facebook or Instagram to Kathy’s Legacy, you will receive a receipt directly from Facebook/Instagram to the email associated with your Facebook/Instagram account.

What is your mission?

Kathy’s Legacy Foundation serves children and pets impacted by domestic violence. We revive hope, restore normalcy, and inspire dreams in the lives of children orphaned by intimate partner violence.

What communities do you serve?

Kathy’s Legacy serves children orphaned by domestic violence homicide and pets impacted by domestic violence in San Diego County.
