Kathy’s Legacy Third Annual Golf Tournament

We had a wonderful turnout on October 1st for the Third Annual Kathy’s Legacy Golf Tournament! Thank you to everyone that took the time to join us over the weekend. For those of you who couldn’t make this year’s golf tournament, here’s a little recap:

The day started off with golfers arriving and enjoying lunch and a welcome cocktail provided by Melograno Cocktails. We kicked off the festivities with a putting contest right before the shotgun start. On the course, golfers enjoyed snacks while playing games at the 3 bars. Golfers could also compete in the Men’s & Women’s Longest Drive contests as well as the Men’s & Women’s Closest to the Pin contests.

After the competition was completed, everyone headed to the banquet to join other community members for apps, drinks, buffet dinner, dessert, and evening program. This was a great opportunity to share how Kathy’s Legacy is serving the community through our Silver Lining and Lady’s Legacy programs. Kathy’s daughter, Madison Scharbarth spoke to the crowd and we had the opportunity to share 2 videos from our Silver Lining families about “What it meant to be a part of Kathy’s Legacy.” After the heartfelt speeches, the evening concluded with announcing the silent auction, raffle, and finally the golf tournament winners.

Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who helped make this event such a success. Together we raised over $40,000. The day was full of fun all while making a huge impact for the children and pets impacted by domestic violence.
